Let’s Go, Let’s Go!

dsc00695.jpg

Pack up the bags and let’s go, let’s go

Clean out the house and let’s go, let’s go

Water the plants and let’s go, let’s go

Take a deep breath and let go, let go

Get cats their shots and let’s go, let’s go

Run to the bank and let’s go, let’s go

Empty the fridge and let’s go, let’s go

Take a deep breath and let go, let go

Spend sleepless nights and let’s go, let’s go

Finish our wills and let’s go, let’s go

Kiss friends goodbye and let’s go, let’s go

Take a deep breath and let go, let go

  1. Ciao Abra and Bon Voyage!!
As a fellow ‘ex-pat’, I can empathize with your leaving. We give our cats some Benedryl for the flight!
    Blog on!

    Hey Abra…

As another fellow ex-pat, I’m feeling the empathy too…also a little jealous and a little inexplicably paternal as well….have a safe, as-painless-as-possible trip!

Thanks, Mark and Judith! It helps to remember that you both went through this and survived.

    Abra and Shel,

Though we weren’t able to attend your send-off, I’ve been following your plans in my heart and through your beautiful writing in French Letters. I know the adventure-of-a-lifetime is about to begin for you both!

    Dear Abra,
I have just discovered your BLOG and could spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying your vibrant text and elegant photos.
However, the point of this message is to wish you and Shel (et les chats?) a memorable time.
Four of us gathered at Kathleen’s yesterday to ruminate about moving, health, and travel. Kathleen’s Peanutbutter Cookies were tempting so I had a carb meltdown of sorts. Still, I am continuing to honor the South Beach.

    Bon voyage.

    HHA
